Brandon Flowers Tweets, Alludes to ‘Posse on Broadway’ by Sir Mix-A-Lot?

Brandon Flowers tweet from earlier today appears to reference the 1988 song, ‘Posse on Broadway’, by Sir Mix-A-Lot.  This track featured on his debut album, ‘Swass’.

In the picture above, a Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer is depicted.  This was one of the first programmable drum machines and was released in early 1980.  This machine is also mentioned in ‘Posse on Broadway’.

Given that Brandon states ‘My posse’s still on Broadway.’, he may be alluding to some sort of connection or influence derived from this song or the location mentioned in this song, Seattle’s Capitol Hill district.

Rumor: Brandon Flowers to Tour Second LP in Spring of 2015?

Brandon Flowers may be set to tour his second solo album in the Spring of 2015.

If this information proves to be true, then Brandon’s second solo LP album would likely be released somewhere in between January- March of 2015.  While Brandon has already confirmed that his second solo album would be released in ‘early’ 2015, this new information gives us a more accurate range in which to expect the release of his second LP.

The above information is off handedly mentioned in the Facebook post below:

UPDATED: Rare Killers Zippo Lighter Listed on eBay

A rare Killers Zippo lighter has been listed on eBay.

This lighter dates to The Killers ‘Hot Fuss’ era and features The Killers dot logo and artwork similar to that of the artwork used for ‘Somebody Told Me’.

These lighters were supposedly given out to Island Records employees.  It is unknown how many of these lighters were produced but they do not surface very often.

The seller is based in Texas and appears to only be shipping to the United States.  The seller is asking $75.00/ £45.00 but is also accepting offers.

The last Killers Zippo lighter that I’m aware of sold on September 30, 2012 for $93.00/ £56.00.

UPDATE:

The listing has ended as someone has paid the ‘Buy-It-Now’ price of $75.00 USD.
