The Killers Announce Two Warm Up Shows, Big Talk is Active on Instagram Again

Late this week, The Killers announced two warm up shows in San Francisco, California and Liverpool, United Kingdom.  These two warm up shows are for The Killers headlining slots at Outside Lands in San Francisco and V Festival in the United Kingdom respectively.

August 9, 2014- The Independent, San Francisco, California, United States

August 15, 2014- O2 Academy Liverpool, Liverpool, England, United Kingdom

Like The Killers previous warm up show in Quebec, these two shows will take place at smaller venues.

The 2014 World Tour page has been updated to reflect these two additional dates.

Big Talk, Ronnie Vannucci’s side project, was also active late this week, posting three photos to Instagram.  I have added these three photos to the unofficial Big Talk Music Tumblr.

HMV has posted an early recording of The Killers performing ‘Mr. Brightside’ in store at their now closed Oxford Street location in London, England.

While I am not certain, this video appears to match up with a June 7, 2004 performance listed on setlist.fm.  If this is the same show, this would match up with the release of ‘Hot Fuss’ in the United Kingdom.

This video was originally posted on January 2, 2014 as a part of HMV’s Flashback series.

Aside from festival recordings from this time period, this is one of the better quality videos to have surfaced from The Killers early years.

A user on Vimeo has uploaded the uncut version of the ‘Shot at the Night’ promo video The Killers recorded for use during the 2014 NCAA March Madness college basketball tournament.

The text at the beginning of this video indicates that this is the uncut version that was not for air.  Presumably, this is the video editors worked with when splicing in highlights from the NCAA tournament.
